HEAVY-DUTY ENGINE
RSM 2400 models come with X12 series engines (11.8L displacement). Cummins X12 engines offer the best specific power-to-weight ratio in the class, delivering up to 439 hp with a weight as low as 862 kg.
The engine is equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger providing a 56 % increase in torque (up to 2,034 Nm), and thereby a faster response to load increase at low rpm. High engine efficiency provides superior fuel consumption performance (from 197 g/kWh). No major modifications are required in the no-EGR configuration to meet Stage V emission standards, which allows for a simpler engine design.

QUADSHIFT® MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Quadshift® III 12x4 manual transmission comes standard. This transmission has 3 speed ranges. Each range has 4 synchronized speeds that are smoothly shifted. The gear ratios are matched for flexibility and maximum performance within the main range from 4.8 to 16 km/h. Simple design, reliability, manual control in all driving modes are the main benefits of the mechanical transmission.
High torque transmitted by the mechanical transmission to the tractor wheels eliminates any unwanted slip losses while maintaining high fuel efficiency.

FRAME, AXLES, DRAWBAR
Traditionally, robust axles are designed to enable the installation of planetary and sun pinions in the final drives to which the wheels are attached.
The planetary gears transfer all available power through the large precision helical gear. Planetary hubs are suspended on large bearings attached directly to the axle beam. The entire weight is supported by the axle beam, rather than the drive components. The drawbar with a peak vertical load of 2,722 kg and 51mm pin (CAT IV) ensures the maximum performance with trailed implements.
The drawbar attachment point located close to the tractor’s centre of gravity provides the best distribution of axle load, 50/50. This offers appreciable fuel savings.

REAR 3‑POINT HITCH (WITH EHR)
The rear 3‑pt hitch is an option that can be installed at the factory or by a dealer. This is an electrohydraulic system with an automatic position control feature (EHR) that is needed to maintain the working depth of implements.
The hitch is designed to accept Category IVN (by default) and III implements. Lift capacity at 610mm behind lift points on lower links is 5,900 kg. The hitch comes with slip control in base. This feature allows the 3‑pt hitch to automatically raise the implement slightly when the slip limit is exceeded, so that the tractor can pull the load in any soil conditions.
HYDRAFLOW HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The closed center load sensing hydraulic system provides the required pressure for efficient operation of implements. When not loaded, the system operates in low pressure power-saving mode, creating a reserve to transmit all power. The standard hydraulic system has a 230 L/min capacity.
5 pairs of 1/2” quick couplers, a set of 3/4” connecting couplings and a zero-pressure return coupling. The Power Beyond kit comes standard on RSM 2400 tractors.
CAB OFFERS EVERYTHING THE OPERATOR NEEDS
You will appreciate the convenience and comfort of the cab. The door opens to the right providing more space on the cab landing platform, which makes servicing easier. The stairs and platform are fitted with convenient handrails. All the engineering solutions used are simple and intuitive. Improved noise insulation, ergonomics, and a great panoramic field of vision create the perfect conditions for productive work. The levers of the right console make it easy to shift transmission gears and to activate control valves. The tractor’s console has a recess for a smartphone and water bottle.
GPS/GLONASS AUTOPILOT (OPTION)
Rostselmash tractors can optionally be fitted with a GPS/GLONASS automatic guidance system. The autopilot will improve tractor’s productivity by 10 % by minimising gaps and overlaps during tillage operations, and eliminate the risk of overly dense sowing when using seeding systems. The tractor is compatible with both an electric autosteer and a more precise steering system via a hydraulic valve. The closed center load sensing hydraulic system provides the required pressure for efficient operation of implements. When not loaded, the system operates in low pressure power-saving.
DUAL WHEELS
For maximum performance, use dual wheels on Rostselmash Series 2000 tractors. You will benefit from increased grip, better traction performance in muddy conditions, twice as low a ground pressure as with single wheels, and all this has a good effect on the performance and fuel consumption. A tractor on duals will not harm the soil, which will pay back in increasingly more uniform crop emergence from season to season Dual wheels are an option. Versions on narrow duals 520/85R42 (520mm wide tread) and on wide duals 710/70R38 (710mm wide tread) are optionally available.
MAINTENANCE
The front grilles swing open outwards. This maximizes operator’s convenience when servicing the machine: cleaning and inspecting the radiator and the cooling system.

FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR
Auxiliary fuel filter (filter/water separator) comes in base on Rostselmash tractors. When the engine is running, the fuel prefilter and auxiliary on-engine filter/water separator remove water and solid impurities that can be present in the fuel system, reliably safeguarding the engine against damage to fuel system components. The fuel prefilter can be drained by opening a small plastic valve in the filter bottom.
