A milestone of successful partnership - Rostselmash Day in Uzbekistan

17 May 2021

On April 29, the company organized its first Rostselmash Day in Uzbekistan. The event took place at the manufacturing site of the partner, Chirchiq Agricultural Machinery Plant, where the production of company’s farming equipment was set up. “The Rostselmash Day in Uzbekistan sparked a lot of interest from agricultural producers. Dozens of growers were able to see for themselves how the local assembly is carried out, appreciated the level of technologies, got necessary consultations from technical specialists and talked to the company management.

Economic cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan is on the rise. Following the summit talks between the President of Russia and the leader of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a 2024 partnership program was signed. The two economies are becoming ever more integrated. The good and successful example of development of joint production is the partnership between Rostselmash and Chirchiq Plant.

The manufacturing cooperation has so far resulted in the production of the VECTOR 410 grain harvester with heavy-duty frame, the first batches of the DON 680M forage harvester and RSM 2375 tractor. Also, Rostselmash transferred to its peers at Chirchiq the manufacture of parts and components - the stages of the production cycle for all product models are supervised by Russian specialists.

Rostselmash has had a long history of close relations with Chirchiq Agricultural Machinery Plant originating at the time of World War II. The current era of partnership started from the signing of the cooperation agreement and set-up of joint assembly of Rostselmash equipment.  Collaboration with the company is of strategic importance to Uzbekistan as it opens the way to the international level and offers the opportunity to provide domestic growers with dependable equipment and enter the international arena.

This was the first time Uzbekistanian farmers could see how the products they use every season are assembled. “The Rostselmash Day in Uzbekistan is an outstanding and big event, kind of a milestone of successful cooperation between the producers. This is an intermediate result of cooperation between the maker and its long-time partner that we can be proud of. We are now ramping up the localization process. Its primary goal is to ensure maximum affordability of agricultural equipment at minimum cost for growers in Uzbekistan

As Rostselmash Chief Commercial Officer Alexey Shveitsov noted in his welcome speech, these conditions are provided due to governmental support initiatives, including as provided by the Uzbekistan Cabinet Ordinance #952 of 11/26/2019 (concerning governmental support initiatives for mechanization of agriculture). With this decision, the country government subsidises to a grower 15% of the cost of purchased agricultural machines if the level of localization of equipment produced in Uzbekistan is 20% or greater.  “This is the direction our companies are moving in,” said Alexey Shveitsov.

The event included a presentation for clients showing the models being produced in the country: VECTOR 410 grain harvester, DON 680 M forage harvester, and RSM 2375 tractor, and trailed and seeding implements of the maker.

Opinion.

Bukharaster Cluster Head Timur Sharipov: “What I am for at the “Rostselmash Day in Uzbekistan” is the RSM 2375. I think this model is a good choice for growing cotton. This tractor meets our requirements in terms of reliability, safety and performance.”
