RSM F 1300 Forage Harvester: a Lot of High-Quality Succulent Forage
The RSM F 1300 forage harvester is the machine that fully fits in the reference agrotechnical process of making silage, haylage or fodder grain haylage. This high-performance, perfectly equipped, comfortable and sophisticated machine can process up to 18,000 tonnes of high-quality forage per season.
Engine and Ground Drive
The RSM F 1300 features a reliable and undemanding 430 h.p. St V Cummins, with a hydrostatic transmission with a manual three-gear unit. The 750L fuel tank allows for longer field runs without refuelling. All-wheel drive machines are available.
Attachments
The operator will need just 5 minutes to mount an attachment as the quick attachment system facilitates the task considerably. The harvester can accept 6-row MAIZE HEADER 450 with an unsupported cutterbar, 5-meter GRASS HEADER 500, and 3-meter FOR UP 300 pickup.
A good ground contour following can be achieved by the harvester with any attachment thanks to the longitudinal/transversal ground contour following system. It allows an efficient operation at a speed up to 15 km/h. The offered headers cut the crop at a set height, pick up the material delicately, without contaminating it with soil particles.
Feeder Synchronised with the Chopping Cylinder
The heavy-duty 4-roll feeder with a crop pre-compressing force of 2600 kg produces a dense and uniform "windrow". The replaceable fishbacks of the feed rolls allow changing the pressed material feed rate.
The 4-speed roll gear is driven by the chopping cylinder. The roll speed is matched to that of the chopper for process stability.
Chopping Cylinder Driven by the Engine Shaft
Clean cutting is the guarantee that not too much sap will leak from the crop material. 48 knives are arranged in 4 rows in a herringbone pattern, some of them always engaged with the shear bar. With the full set of knives, the length of cut can be set to 4-7-10-17 mm. After removing a half, one can obtain the lengths of 8-14-20-34 mm, accordingly.
The reinforced cylinder trunnions, the reliable bearings and the efficient sharpening unit ensure spotless performance of the shear bar in any conditions. The cylinder bottom clearance is adjusted synchronously with the shear bar position.
Kernel Processor Mountable in 3 Minutes
Mounting a kernel processor and a grass chute in the cropflow path requires a lot of time and effort, and additional tools. With the RSM F 1300, you can forget about all this hurdle.
The slider-type roll kernel processor does not need removal when you change to another crop, and can be mounted in the cropflow path in 3 minutes in the semi-automatic mode using the hydraulic drive.
The sawtooth rolls rotate with a 20% speed difference, with roll clearance adjustable between 2 and 6 mm. The result is min. 99% of kernels crushed.
Crop Material Accelerator Driven by the Engine Shaft
8 paddles of the accelerator rotating at 2,400 rpm accelerate the chopped material to 67 m/sec. This allows loading a vehicle as densely as possible. The compacted material contains less air which is good for silage.
The engine-driven accelerator and chopper, and the feeder rolls driven by the chopping cylinder ensure a perfect synchronisation of the main machine components and, as a consequence, a stable process.
Versatile Preservative Application System
The harvesting conditions and the standing crop quality can differ greatly. The possibility to use a flexible approach for applying preservatives is of paramount importance. The RSM F 1300 is offered with the versatile preservative application system that allows not only using concentrated or diluted preservatives, but also choosing the point of injection into the material.
The system includes two 10L tanks for concentrated preservatives with an application rate of 0.3 to 6 L/h and a 390L tank for diluted preservatives with an application rate of 10 to 300 L/h. The liquid is injected though nozzles:
· into the material accelerator area, which allows a better mixing of the agent in the volume,
· in the spout, which is preferable when aggressive agents are used.
In addition, the liquid can be injected into the feeder area for flushing the process path.
Unloader with an Anti-Collision System
The spout with a turning angle of 226 degrees and a maximum cap height of 6.2 m makes it possible to work comfortably with any vehicles.
The spout has lengthwise wear plates, which makes the repair of the assembly much cheaper. The anti-collision device (also in base) minimises the risk of failure of the assembly when the machine bumps into an obstacle.
Available Options
Rostselmash machines in the basic configuration traditionally come as ready-to-use units. However, the expansion of functionality allows facilitating the operator’s work substantially and, therefore, improving the performance. The RSM F 1300 can be equipped with the following options:
· video monitoring system to monitor the unloading area and the machine reversing,
· additional spout sections to extend the unit when necessary,
· automated centralised lubrication system to supply lubricants to critical components without the operator’s intervention, and to guarantee the machine service,
· automatic bar feed system to reduce operator’s efforts,
· remote monitoring system to fully monitor the machine behaviour in real time, record and store information for further use, and consult the operator regarding additional settings.
