VECTOR 425 Grain Harvester

Let us present the VECTOR 425, a practical and reliable grain harvester with traditional threshing and separation system.
The VECTOR 425 comes with a reliable and flexible 173 kW (235 h. p.) Cummins B6.7 engine meeting the current emission standards of Stage V. The powerful three-speed hydrostatic transmission ensures smooth stepless adjustment of the ground speed. The fuel tank capacity is 510L, and the efficient engine ensures long operation without refuelling. The harvester is equipped with an air compressor and 100L receiver traditional for Rostselmash self-propelled machines. This enhances endurance of the machine - you can service it or inflate tyres right in the field without waiting for the service truck. Moreover, this allows for a higher shift performance, as practice shows. And this is vital when the time for harvesting is scarce.
Header
The extended conveyor-type feeder house provides excellent visibility of the cutterbar, while the multicoupler ensures a fast and easy connection of attachments. There is no front beater, thus facilitating operation in tilled crops. The unit is fitted with a longitudinal/transverse ground contour following system for maximum utilization of the cutting width of headers in fields which are not totally even.
The combine is offered with the Power Stream grain head in 5/6/7/9m width in base. This attachment earned its reputation for reliability and high output. Other features include:
smooth movement of the cutterbar driven by a planetary gear;
a proprietary ground contour following system;
increased auger diameter; and
automatic synchronisation of the reel speed and combine ground speed.
The manufacturer also offers attachments for all traditional crops:
low-cut Float Stream head; Swa Pick pickup; Argus and Corn Stream corn head, Falcon and Sun Stream sunflower heads; and Ziegler rape extension for Power Stream heads. Uni Cart 3000 or 4000 trailers are recommended for transportation of attachments.
Threshing
Thorough and very gentle threshing is one of the most remarkable benefits of the VECTOR 425. Up to 95% of grain is separated already in the thresher! Not every machine even with a double-cylinder thresher-separator unit is capable of such careful handling!
The combine uses a globally recognisable thresher design. It is based on a 1,180 mm long cylinder with 800 mm diameter, 130 deg. concave wrap angle, and 1.1 m2 of threshing/separation area. Such parameters ensure a flat, smooth flow path of the crop mat and longer residence of heads in the thresher. Due to the heavy cylinder (and high inertia), the VECTOR 425 thresher copes with ease even with twisted or wet compressed material, or material with high straw content.
Cylinder speed varies from 335 to 1,050 rpm, and can be decreased to 200-450 rpm with a reducing gear. Together with the thresher configuration advantages, this contributes to the most gentle threshing with minimized amount of cracked grain in the tank.
The concave clearance is adjusted by a motor from the operator’s station. The combine is equipped with Jam Control, a unique system for fast dropping of the concave when the clearance is plugged when operating in crops with high straw content.
And certainly, the threshing mechanism includes a stone trap already in base.
Separation and cleaning
4-walker 7-cascade straw walkers with 4,100 mm long walkers and separation area of nearly 5 m2 thoroughly removes the small amount of grain that remains in the straw mat after threshing. The grain material goes to the 2-sieve cleaning system with sieve area of 3.59 m2. The powerful fan with impeller speed adjustable from the cab ensures efficient removal of impurities and foreign material. Unthreshed heads are sent to the independent rotor-type rethresher. This unit prevents threshing cylinder overloading.
Grain collection and unloading
Initial capacity of the grain tank is 4 m3. But the convertible roof increases the volume up to 6 m3, i.e. by 30%. You just need to press a button in the cab to open the grain tank.
Everything is designed for ease of work:
two filling sensors would not let you miss the right moment;
3.54m long and 3.48m high auger enables grain unloading into any vehicle; and
hydropulsators ensure unloading of grain with moisture content even greater than 30% (!) in just 2 minutes without bridging.
Further life of straw
You can do to the straw whatever your agrotechnical plan permits, all the more so as the VECTOR 425 handles it very gently. It can be windrowed for further use in animal farming, or chopped and spread over the field.
The harvester comes with a windrower and straw chopper/spreader (60 knives) with the cylinder speed of2,900 rpm in base. A speed reducer is available as an option.
Operating and servicing
The VECTOR 425 comes with a second-generation two-seat Comfort Cab II. As the name suggest, the cab equipment is fully consistent with the current understanding of occupational ergonomics and safety. Adviser III information system with multicolour sensor display, radio and media file playback from a USB storage helps the operator in the cab.
The information system monitors all processes, displays important information on the screen and supports it by sound alarms and voice announcements. You would not miss a thing.
Starting from 2020, all VECTOR 425 machines come with Argotronic remote monitoring system for remote monitoring of the combine operations and performance.
