Unmanned Machine by Rostelmash Goes to the Fields

22 June 2020

The company demonstrated capabilities of a TORUM combine equipped with an autopilot. At Rostselmash they note that the technology enables to avoid human presence in the cab during work. The driver uses a tablet PC with required software installed, where the route is set to the combine to follow.

The agricultural machine is moving along the pre-set path, sticking to the set route with the accuracy up to 10 cm, and when obstacles are detected on the path of the combine, the autopilot automatically stops the machine and a warning about the obstacle is sent to the operator.

The Company’s representative notes that the machines of this type will be tested in the fields of the country as soon as this summer.
