RSM F 2650 Forage Harvester, the Most Powerful in F Series

2 March 2020

The ultra powerful RSM F 2650 forage harvester, developed based on the global Rostselmash platform, is specially designed for high-yielding fields and is the best choice for large agricultural enterprises with a need for high-quality forage in large volumes.

This machine incorporates the best engineering solutions in the industry, thus it is high-performance, economical, simple, and smart at the same time. How efficient is this machine? In accordance with MIS specialists in case of efficiently organized logistics with one combine only the silage pit can be filled within 1-2 days. Yet, it will require 5-6 heavy duty trucks.

The operation specifications of the machine are as follows:

650 h.p. Mercedes-Benz engines paired with hydrostatic transmission provide stable and economical operation in difficult conditions, smooth and soft speed control. 1500 l fuel tank is enough for the combine to operate up to 12 hours at a speed of up to 15 km/h in the busiest mode. The road speed is 25 or 40 km/h.

By default, RSM F 2650 forage harvester comes with a rear-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive version is also available as an option. For various operating conditions, three tire sizes are also provided, including 900 mm for driving on low bearing capacity soils.

By the way, machine dimensions with standard tires allow movement on general purpose roads without any additional escort and equipment with the system of tire pressure control enables driving at a speed up to 40 km/h on roads.

Thanks to longitudinal and transverse ground contour following system the forage harvester allows working with adapters with a cutting width of up to 7.5 m, and thanks to the quick mounting system with the quick coupling, it takes several minutes to connect headers. Hydraulic feeder and adapters drive

The chopping unit with a 705mm wide drum and 630mm in diameter, with 24 knives, installed in a herringbone pattern, rotates at a speed up to 1,200 rpm and is equipped with a hydraulic system for stepless adjustment of the cutting length within 4 to 22mm. Slider type kernel processor with a 20% difference in windrows rotating speed is now equipped with a system of automatic installation into the crop flow path which is a convenient function.

A versatile preservative applicator allows using concentrated or water-diluted preparations. When concentrates are used, the consumption is 0.3 to 6 l/h, in case of diluted preparations it is 10 to 300 l/h. And the set of functions for measuring the moisture level of the chopped material, assessment of throughput and control of preparation dosing in accordance with current information significantly increases efficiency of the preservative application system.

A couple words about intelligence and comfort

In addition to the usual convenient and intelligent control and monitoring system, the RSM F 2650 combines are as standard equipped with the Agrotronic remote monitoring system. Over 80 parameters are transmitted via GPRS modem and are available both online and as records from any computer connected to the system. In addition, multiple options are proposed, such as “field laboratory” to determine the composition of the copped material, yield mapping, auto-steering, etc.

To simplify maintenance, the combine is equipped with a compressor and 100 l receiver, an automated lubrication system, laydown area video monitoring system, and a rear-view camera.

The new generation of forage harvesters will be also equipped with new standardized adapters. Headers for coarse silage with 4.5 / 6 / 7.5 m cutting width. MaizeHeader. 3 or 4m pickups. Rotary header for leafy silage with 6m cutting width.
