AGRITECHNICA-2019 International Exhibition Became a Success for Rostselmash
It was the first time that a Russian company (Rostselmash) won a silver medal at AGRITECHNICA Innovation Award, a prestigious innovation contest. The news became known at the international exhibition of agricultural solutions AGRITECHNICA-2019, the largest European industry-specific forum that was held in Hannover from November 10 to 16. Rostselmash presented a number of unique digital developments and a modern range of agricultural machines.
The medal was awarded for RSM Night Vision, Rostselmash’s innovative product, the operator’s assistant during night operations. The technology allows detecting obstacles at a record distance of up to 1500 meters. In particular, RSM Night Vision is of demand when sprayers are used in the field because the application of pesticides occurs typically at night. In its decision, the expert panel that consisted of scientists, researchers, consultants and experienced growers, emphasized that the system allows drivers to see the obstacles that could not be seen with the naked eye.
“This victory belongs not only to Rostselmash, but also the entire Russian agricultural machine building industry. Agritechnica Innovation Award is among the most prestigious special contests,” Valery Maltsev, General Director of Rostselmash, said.
The success at Agritechnica was not limited to the receipt of the momentous award. We held negotiations, reached preliminary cooperation agreements with farmers, farm and agricultural holding managers from Germany, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Estonia, Turkey, Egypt, Mongolia, India, Austria, China and many other countries. The stands with Rostselmash machinery were appreciated by the growers from virtually all over the world. The exhibition organizers informed that AGRITECHNICA-2019 had been visited by 450,000 people, with over 130,000 out of them from 152 countries.
One of the most popular machines among the guests of Rostselmash’s pavilion was NOVA 330, a compact combine harvester pertaining to the third power class, surpassing its peers in terms of performance by 10-15%. NOVA is the solution designed for farms; due to its small size and thought-out threshing system, it is ideal for small fields with severe soil conditions. The higher models were presented by the rotor-type combine harvester TORUM 770 and the combine harvester RSM 161 with a classic double-drum threshing system.
The Company also showed the machines that had not been previously displayed in Europe. The main first show was the tractor RSM 2400 that had been developed and assembled at the Rostselmash facilities in Russia and had already been appreciated due to its optimal horsepower-to-traction ratio, reliability and versatility. The second new offering was the trailer sprayer TS 4500 Satellite. This machine is more accurate than its predecessors, more convenient in operation and has a much higher performance, its distinctive feature being the potential automation of many routine processes.
A significant interest was aroused by the range of forage harvesting machines. The exhibition guests were shown the series of innovative combine harvesters F2650 and F1300 engineered on the Rostselmash global platform. Separately presented were digital solutions for the industry.
In general, Rostselmash’s exposition successfully fit in the concept of the industrial forum, one of its major topics being, according to Reinhard Grandke, Director of German Agricultural Company, the technology of efficient and environmentally friendly farming.
“Our goal is to provide the opportunities for a more reasonable use of resources. Today farming is a high-technology industry with a huge potential,” Maksim Nakhabo, Marketing Director of Rostselmash, said. The Company has a positive view of the results of participation in AGRITECHNICA-2019. The exhibition revealed that the Company’s vector of technological, engineering and strategic development is correct, which is proven by the interest and trust of existing and future consumers.
