Rostselmash Presented an Innovative Forage Harvester to European Growers

15 November 2019

Another working day of the AGRITECHNICA 2019 exhibition for Rostselmash is the day of new technological products. The focus is on the F 2650 innovative forage harvester that is a new product in the product range. The F series is presented by two models: F 1300 with a lower performance and F 2650 with a higher performance. They share the global platform used as a basis for the development of all latest models of Rostselmash machinery, as well as the philosophy that is offering a grower modern and efficient solutions.

F series forage harvesters were designed with due consideration for the intellectualization of contemporary farming, therefore they are capable of having many processes automated: self-contained unloader, auto-steering along the rows, automatic adjustment of preservative application, and emergency stop in front of an obstacle. They are really smart machines that not only need just half a word, or better to say, half a command to understand the operator, but take responsibility for a number of critical processes.

The visitors of Agritechnica are presented there key systems: RSM IQDoser: the system of automatic dosing of silage additives depending on the moisture content, dry material content in the cut crop, and machine performance.  RSMAutoSharp: the system that automatically informs the operator that the knives need sharpening or the sharpening stone needs adjustment. RSM SynSpeed: the system for automatic control of combine ground speed and engine speed depending on field conditions and loading to achieve the maximum fuel efficiency.

The basic package also includes the Agrotronic remote monitoring system that transmits information about eighty parameters and allows the machinery fleet owner to monitor the operation of machines as accurately as possible.

The F2650 presented in the Rostselmash pavilion interests, first of all, the representatives of large farms and agricultural holdings – this machine is optimized for average-to-high yield fields and is capable of harvesting all types of forage crops preserved as silage.  Apart from the traditional questions about performance and package features, there are the questions concerning the cost of acquisition and ownership. The answer to such questions is the guaranteed strong demand in Russian forage harvesters in the European market. Using F2650 promises a significant economy. In addition, this model has the richest basic package as compared to that of its peers, including automatic monitoring and adjustment systems.

The combine harvester is displayed at the stand with Maize Header that is a 7.5 m unit with an unsupported continuous cutterbar for harvesting rough silage crops in 10 rows. The header demonstrates an impressive minimal cutting height. It copes with rough crops at a minimum height of 60 mm. The combine may also have other headers attached. There is a wide range of them for different crops and conditions.

The serial production of F2650 will start this season and Rostselmash is already receiving requests. They must be numerous after the exhibition.
