RSM 2400: European First Show

13 November 2019

First shows at AGRITECHNICA-2019 are an important component of each exhibition day. The pavilions accommodate almost 2800 participants from 52 countries and each such participant brought the best thing to be disclosed to the world. The organizers expect the number of visitors by the final day to be 450,000 people. One of the most interesting world shows is the RSM 2400 tractor, the international first show of the Russian machine.

The machine assembled at the Company’s Russian facilities earned the trust and became popular among Russian farmers and large farms. This is the ‘two-thousandth’ series model, the closest predecessor of the RSM 2375 tractor, one of the most popular tractors belonging to the class of versatile tractors with an articulated frame. 2400 is the logic continuation of the product range, the upgraded older model with a more powerful engine and more efficient hydraulics.

For the European market, the tractor is available with the Cummins X12 405 h.p. engine (Stage V) and the Quadshift 12/4 manual transmission, which ensures its optimal horsepower-to-traction ratio, allowing to attach the implements designed for 350-420 h.p. The high-performance 230 L/min hydraulic system with five pairs of couplings available for connection, a low-pressure backflow coupling and a Power Beyond kit allows attaching almost any pneumatic grain or row-crop seeder.

The striking distinctive feature of RSM 2400 is that the basic package includes the Agrotronic remote monitoring system with fuel level sensors and the capability of online monitoring of the tractor operation by means of branded software. The system allows monitoring the machine operation remotely and making decisions on the most efficient scenarios of its employment depending on particular conditions.

The tractor arouses the unfailing interest as there is a line of people in front of the stand. The visitors inspect the cab (comfortable), the major components (reliable), ask about the shift performance (impressive). The Rostselmash employees expect much of this model because for the company that is famous for its combine harvesters this model assembled in Russia is both the show of strength of its own engineer school, and the expansion into new markets.

“Rostselmash will continue increasing the manufacture of tractors. The model presented at the exhibition demonstrates the Company’s goal that is to offer optimal solutions in response to most problems in agriculture. As we see today, attention that is paid to the RSM 2400 tractor allows judging about its potential success not only in the domestic market. The machine is obviously of interest to European consumers,” – M. Nakhabo, Marketing Director of Rostselmash, estimates the work of the popular stand.
