Rostselmash Presents New Products in Hannover
The largest specialized international exhibition AGRITECHNICA-2019 opened on 10 November. This is the event one cannot miss if one is engaged in agriculture: every two years agribusiness professionals from all over the world come to Hannover. From the exhibition they bring useful contacts, new ideas, arrangements on cooperation and, certainly, the information on how the agricultural machinery is developing today.
Agricultural holding heads and farmers, agronomists and machine operators, engineers and machine builders present the latest achievements of the industry and discuss its prospects.
The well-known ultra-high performance grain harvesters TORUM 770 and RSM 161, the combine harvester NOVA 330 designed for farms, the powerful ‘assault force’ of high-tech forage harvesters RSM F 1300 и RSM F 2650 – all came to AGRITECHNIKA-2019. The first presented machines are the tractor RSM 2400 and the trailer sprayer RSM TS-4500 Satellite.
Traditionally, the rotor-type combine TORUM 770 with a nine-meter header and a retractable table draws the interest of the guests. This is the machine for large fields with a high yield, which is capable of harvesting the widest range of crops. One of the most high-performance combines in the world, it can harvest up to 100 tonnes of corn per hour.
Another giant is RSM 161 with a double-drum threshing system. In one season, it handles up to 2000 ha and demonstrates a high performance irrespective of harvesting conditions: the special threshing system Tetra Processor can cope with a wet crop material and produce the cleanest grain and the least damaged straw.
Special attention is paid to the grain harvester NOVA 330. This is a versatile solution for small farms, a high-performance and compact combine that is very manoeuvrable for its third class. Its output is 10-15% higher than that of its closest neighbours in the class. NOVA was developed for harvesting in small fields with a challenging terrain and non-typical outlines. It can have a wide number of adapters attached for grain, legume, arable crops and be adapted to any field conditions.
There are also many visitors near forage harvesting machines. Rostselmash brought to Hannover two models differing in performance. i.e. the forage harvester RSM F 1300 pertaining to the third power range, and the forage harvester RSM F 2650 pertaining to the fifth power range. The distinctive feature of these machines is their identical process path. Both combines demonstrate the current trends of employment of forage harvesting machinery, that is for harvesting, and for the green conveyer. The machines can have new adapters attached: For Up 400 and Maize Header 750. The new offering of the season is the tractor RSM 2400. Developed and assembled at the Rostselmash facilities in Russia for the European market, it is offered with the engine Cummins X12 405 h.p. (Stage V) and the Quadshift 12/4 manual transmission and has an optimal horsepower-to-traction ratio, which allows attaching the implements designed for 350-420 h.p. The distinctive feature of the entire series is the pre-installed remote monitoring system Agrotronic that allows monitoring the operating parameters of the machinery in the field and drawing the reports that are required for making managerial decisions.
The next new product is the trailer sprayer TS 4500 Satellite. Here the focus is on the automation and optimization of work processes as any process can be controlled from the cab: from adjusting the boom position to spraying the solution. RSM TS-4500 Satellite is more accurate in operation than its predecessors, more compact and convenient to use, and significantly more productive.
Like the other presented models, TS 4500 Satellite demonstrates the course of development of Rostselmash process solutions towards intellectualization – the Company’s products in the field of smart agriculture are presented at AGRITECHNICA-2019. First of all, this is RSM Router, the system based on machine-to-machine communication technology and using Agrotronic. It allows building an optimal interaction of machines in the field based on harvesting characteristics and set parameters. Attention is also attracted by the RSM Voice Access system that informs the operator of operation-related situations, but also allows controlling a number of processes using voice commands.
A kind of digital pearl at the stands is the RSM Night Vision system that, by the way, won the silver medal at the contest AGRITECHNICA Innovation Award. The system can be installed on self-propelled machines and ensures the night visibility at a record-breaking distance of up to 1500 meters.
Some time will pass before we will be able to say which product was of most interest to visitors. However, even now the Company’s representatives are certain that there will be much attention and that AGRITECHNICA 2019 will be very successful for Rostselmash.
